SPAS NA BERESTOVI (Ukr. “Savior in Berestove”) is an old church in Kyiv, located near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the XI century, the church was burned down by the Mongols in the XIII century, restored on the initiative of Petro Mohyla in 1640-1643, went through partial restoration in early XX century, and reconstructed in 2017-2019 at the expense of patron Vyacheslav Moskalevskiy. The church has a fresco dating back to the XII century.

TASKS
We were assigned with several tasks:
- show the Church of the Savior as a portal, a place of power; a place one must definitely visit in order to get that unique experience;
- shift the discourse from religious to socio-cultural angle;
- make the viewer want to come and see the church and bastions in person;
- lead by example and explain that supporting the restoration of historic sites is good practice.
